Sports Clubs

Green Templeton is home to a range of groups and activities.

Gym and group exercise

We are offering free Zumba and Yoga classes in the gym throughout term. Zumba classes are on Wednesdays, 17:00 to 18:00, every week during term time except on Wednesday 30 October. Yoga will be offered every Sunday throughout term, 13:00 to 14:15, and four times on Wednesdays 19:00 to 20:00 (16 and 13 October and 13 and 27 November). Both classes are free for Green Templeton students, no need to sign up in advance, just show up and make sure to bring some water. Contact:

Green Templeton College Boat Club

The youngest of the college boat clubs, Green Templeton Boat Club was created in 2008 after the merger of Green College and Templeton College. Since then, the GTBC has grown rapidly into a large vibrant community of enthusiastic rowers of all levels. Our history may be short, but already we have earned a reputation for both our skills and our fun. As an inclusive, active and fun club, we would love to meet you and give you a sense of rowing (and coxing) and our club! The only requirement to be able to participate in this is that YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM (safety requirement from the University). You can join the Green Templeton Boat Club at any time during Michaelmas term! But we recommend joining as soon as possible to follow the training program.

Green Templeton Men’s Football Club

Green Templeton does not have its own team at the moment but students interested in playing are encouraged to join Trinity’s Men’s Football Club. For more information, email

Green Templeton Running Club

The main purpose of the Green Templeton Running Club is to provide a platform for people at Green Templeton who enjoy going for runs and are looking to find a couple of running companions. There is a Facebook group and Whatsapp group  to coordinate planned runs with your fellow runners. We used to go for regular runs on Sunday morning before the Green Templeton brunch but depending what time works best for most people we can also look for a different day and time while organising more runs spontaneously. We usually participate as a college team at the annual Oxford Town and Gown 10k run in May, which takes you along the most scenic parts of Oxford but we can also think about participating in more running events throughout the year. For more information, email

Green Templeton Tennis Club

Green Templeton does not have an active tennis club at the moment, however we are offering tennis classes throughout term, both for beginners and intermediate players. Those classes are running on Mondays and Wednesdays from 15:00-16:30. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis to the first 16 individuals. Preference will be given to students that can attend all the classes. Sign up emails for those classes will be sent out next week Monday. For more information, email
