Alison is available to meet with any Green Templeton College student who would like to discuss their academic progress, particularly if they are experiencing difficulties with any aspect of teaching or supervision and would like the opportunity to talk in confidence about these issues.

The Senior Tutor also works closely with the Academic Registrar and College Office team to support students who may be experiencing any personal difficulties.

Working with the Academic Tutor, Alison also leads on academic support and engagement activities for Green Templeton students and is keen to discuss any ideas for enhancing our offering so that all Green Templeton students are supported and stimulated.

Prior to joining Green Templeton, Alison was College Senior Tutor (2014-18), and before that Director of the Extended Medical Degree Programme (2010-14), at King’s College London. Whilst at King’s, she was a tutor in Medical Humanities in the Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’s Medical School and an honorary fellow in Liberal Arts. She was the KCL academic lead for student welfare, receiving a King’s Award for her role in launching the university’s ‘It Stops Here’ campaign against sexual violence. She has published in the fields of eighteenth-century literature, cultural geography and travel writing, dialogic learning, and personal tutoring.
